Choosing a wedding photographer can be one of the biggest decisions you will make in planning a wedding, couples can spend many hours agonising over details for what is one of the biggest occasions in some peoples lives. As a photographer i'm lucky and honoured to be chosen to record this most special of days and over the last 20 years i have witnessed some incredible moments.
Firstly congratulations on at least considering booking a photographer, with the days of cheap digital cameras and the ever increasing quality of camera phones some couples are choosing to trust family and friends with the responsibility of recording the wedding which I feel is a big mistake. Once the presents have been opened and the tan from the honeymoon has begun to fade often all people have is the images from the day as a lasting reminder of the celebration. Hiring a professional to do this job means you can have peace of mind that this will be done to the highest of standards and in a way you want to help those memories last forever.
I am a NCTJ qualified photographer with over 20 years experience in the newspaper industry, I have full public liability insurance with £2 million in cover. I bring 3 cameras with me to every wedding, all your precious images are double backed up and stored remotely in a secure offsite server to help protect from loss of your images.
I only ever shoot just one wedding per day and when you book me as a photographer I will not be sending a surprise 3rd party photographer or an assistant / trainee. I like to get some time to get to know a couple and try and understand what they are looking for from the images of the day, I will not be dictating to you on style of photography as some others do. Post production is a key part of the wedding package and if you require images processed in a certain style (for instance 'vintage' look) then of course this can be arranged for you at no extra cost.
With all my weddings I provide a full resolution edited version of the images copyright free (no watermarks etc) on a USB drive and a private gallery slideshow of the images hosted on my website with password protection if required and a full online print and product ordering system. No hidden costs will be added at a
later date, what you are quoted is what you will pay. If the wedding is within 2 hours drive of Derby I will not charge any travelling or fuel costs.
